  • Assin North members are highly ungrateful- Kwaku Dawuro

Host of Movement In The Morning, Kwaku Dawuro, has described the members of Assin North as ungrateful.

He vented on the show on how unappreciative and ungrateful they are, for overlooking the hardwork of the NPP.

  • No matter the outcome, Gyakye Quayson must be imprisoned- Gordon Asare Bediako

Gordon Asare Bediako says the MP of Assin North, James Gyakye Quayson, must be imprisoned after the by-election.

This comes after Gyakye Quayson’s case with the law, in relation to his refusal to denounce one of his dual citizenship.

Obuasi West Youth organizer for the governing New Patriotic Party has expressed his disappointment over attitude over electorates of Assin North.

This comes on the back of results trickling in which is in favour of James Gyakye Quayson, as voting ends and counting is underway.

According to Bright, he never expected electorates to vote for the NDC, yet they did.

“They fell for the NDC propaganda forgetting the good things the NPP and Nana Addo has done for them in Assin north”, he lamented.

  • NPP should remain calm; don’t be heartbroken by the results trickling in- Ellen Ama Darku

Communications team member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Darku has urged the rank and file of the party not to lose focus by the results trickling in.

She said although so far, the provisional results are not encouraging, she’s optimistic that whatever been the case Charles Opoku will win the seat.

“Even if it’s just one vote difference, we will win. Let’s just give ourselves time”, she encouraged.

  • NPP will win the Assin North seat with a 100% Margin- Rev. Ntim Fordjour

The Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev. Ntim Fordjour has said that the NPP will win the Assin north seat with a wide margin.

According to him, prior to the elections many were not certain on who exactly would win the election. However, he could emphatically state from the look of things that Charles Opoku will win the seat with a hundred per cent margin.

He expressed his happiness over the voter turnout.

“Assin North has justified that indeed they do really appreciate what the NPP and Nana Addo has done for them since 2017 till date”, he spoke to Oheneba Asiedu.

  • NDC has executed not less than 50% of their plans- Gordon

Editor for ABC News, Godwin Asare Bediako is of the view that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has so far executed not less than 50% of their plans to rig the Assin north by-election.

According to him, the sharing of monies to voters, the storming of voting centers to intimidate electorates among others are just half of the plans of the NDC and thus there was the need for the NPP to be up and doing to ensure that the plans become futile.

  • Jennifer Queen, Kofi Tonto nearly lynched at Assin

Ace Broadcaster of Wontumi multimedia, Gordon Asare Bediako, has revealed that some communication team members of the New Patriotic Party were nearly lynched at Assin.

He noted that Jennifer Queen and Kofi Tonto were the victims, and added that reason for such act is yet to be known.

Oliver Baker Vormawor has emphatically stated that he expects the NDC to lose in the ongoing Assin north by-election.

In a tweet sighted by Wontumionline.com and Movementtvonline.com, the social media commentator noted that the Assin north seat is legally an NPP seat.

He explained that both parties are fighting for a seat in an NPP stronghold. 

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Gyakye Quayson loses the seat, in fact I expect him to lose”, the tweet said.

Ace broadcaster Gordin Asare Bediako has opined that the NDC must be applauded for their intense propaganda to ensure that their candidate, Gyakye Quayson emerges victorious.

Ace Broadcaster of Wontumi multimedia, Gordon Asare Bediako has described the NDC’s plan to sow seeds of discords at Assin North, ineffective.

According to him the ulterior motive of the NDC regarding the ongoing by-election, has been exposed by the NPP.

  • Voters taking 100 cedis from NDC but voting against them at Assin North

It’s been revealed by Wontumi Multimedia reporter, Evans Manasseh from the Endwa voting centers that the NDC is sharing 100 cedis to electorates to influence their votes.

Meanwhile, Evans Manasseh told Oheneba that after the electorates had received the money from NDC, they said they voted against the party’s candidate Gyakye Quayson. This they said is because they do not understand why the NDC laments hardship yet have been able to share 100 cedis each to electorates. This is a clear indication of deceitfulness and hypocrisy.

  • Chairman Wontumi’s presence sends shivers down the spines of NDC- Bright Nyampong

Obuasi West Youth Organizer for the NPP, Bright Nyampong, has revealed that the NDC is enveloped with fear by the presence of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Chairman Wontumi.

Bright Nyampong commended him for raising the bar with his selflessness and hardwork, in preparation towards the by-election at Assin North, and added that the NDCs are in fear due to that.

A reporter with Wontumi multimedia stationed at Berekum electoral area, Hayford, has said that some NDC members caused chaos as they fought over sharing of cash.

Each electorates involved in the brawl according to Hayford, was said to have received Gh50. Those who were unfortunate to receive theirs from the leadership of the NDC, started the scuffle.

However calm has been restored after the hooligans were driven away from the voting center.

The Police have taken control and put things in order as voting process continues.

  • We won’t allow the NDC to intimidate us- Kofi Ntiamoah

The Executive Secretary of the Ghana Monument and Museum Board, Hon. Ofosu Ntiamoah has emphatically stated that the NPP will never allow the NDC to intimidate them in the ongoing Assin North by-election.

He said the NPP also have the men and therefore will face the NDC boot-for-boot.

“Are they more men than we are? We have allowed them to misbehave for far too long and it’s about time we put them in their rightful place…we should be able to face them because we have the men too”, he told Kwaku Dawuro.

  • Fiifi Kwetey must be arrested for stalling election- Gordon 

Broadcast Journalist Gordin Asare Bediako has opined that the General Secretary of the NDC, Fiifi Kwetey must be arrested for intimidating electorates at Endwa and stalling the voting exercise for 30 minutes.

Reports coming in from Endwa indicates that the presence of Fiifi Kwetey at the polling station has stalled elections, forcing many electorates to return home after been in queue for 30 minutes.

According to reports from a polling station agent for the NPP, the General Secretary of the NDC is going about telling even polling station agents of the NPP to vote for the NDC.

This, according to the ace broadcaster goes contrary to the laws of the country and thus Fiifi Kwetey and his team must be arrested.

  • Voting resumes after halting for 30 minutes by Fiifi Kwetey.

The NPP’s polling station agent at College Electoral area, Nana Addo, has said voting resumed after being halted for 30 minutes by the General Secretary for the NDC, Fiifi Kwetey.

In a live reports on Movement In The Morning, Nana Addo, reported that the process resumed after the NDC chief scribe, stormed the voting grounds and halted it for 30 minutes.

This he said was a plot by the NDC to lure the electorates.

Information gathered by Movementtvonline.com is that voting at Endwa College electoral area has stalled for closed to 35 minutes now.

  •  Professor Twumasi boasts of 135 astro turf projects by NPP at Assin North

A New Patriotic Party stalwart, Professor Twumasi, has boasted of 135 completed astro turf projects by the NPP.

In an interview with Dawuro in an interview on Movement In The Morning, On Movement TV/Wontumi radio, Professor Twumasi commended the NPP over the completion of 135 astro turfs in Assin  North, amongst other projects.

  •   I’m confident Zone 2 will get the highest votes from Assin North

The DCE for Gomoa Central  and coordinator for Zone 2 for the Assin North by-election, Honorable Benjamin, has expressed confidence in his zone having the highest votes at the end of the ongoing by-election.

  • Security arrangement very tight at Assin North than Kumawu- Abu Prah 

Security arrangements in Assin North has been described as very tight as compared to the security arrangement during the Kumawu By-election on MAY 23.

Reporting live from Asempananye, wontumi reporter Abu Prah told Kwaku Dawuro that for every single polling station he visited, there are about 6 police personnel manning the center to ensure that there’s peace and order.

Although, the voting process has been very slow, he’s optimistic that the turnout will be very high.

  • EC ready to supervise by-election

A reporter from Wontumi multimedia, Nana Agyei is reporting live from the grounds of Assin Kushea where the EC is present to supervise the process for a peaceful by- election.

According to reports, two thousand and three people from four polling stations are expected to vote.

  • IGP storms various voting centres at Kushie to ensure there’s peace- Nana Agyei Reports

The Inspector General of Police has been spotted visiting some election centers in Kushie, Akyeano, in the ongoing Assin North by-election to ensure that there’s calm and peace throughout the exercise, Wontumi reporter, Nana Agyei reports.

Voting began at 7AM but before the commencement of the by-election, electorates had already queued up waiting for EC officials to arrive.

  • Assin North will glorify Nana Addo with the by-election- Prof  Yaw Essilfie

The Canadian branch Secretary of the NPP, Professor Yaw Essilfie, has noted that come what may, electorates of Assin North will definitely vote for the NPP’s candidate, Charles Opoku in the ongoing by-election.

According to him, the electorates will consider all the good things the NPP government has done for Assin North constituency by voting for the NPP candidate.

“Look at the good roads constructed in Assin North, the astroturf, including the numerous projects executed by Charles Opoku himself. This is an indication that he’s willingly to do more and I believe electorates will give him the nod”, he said on the sideline of the extension coverage of the elections by Wontumi Multimedia.

  • Assin North by-Election: electorates begin queuing at 5AM 

It is anticipated that the voter turnout in the ongoing by-election in Assin North will be high, as electorates were spotted queuing as early as 5AM waiting for officials of the Electoral Commission to arrive, so they could cast their votes.

Meanwhile, voting is expected to begin at 7AM across the various election centers in Assin North.

The two main contenders are candidates for the governing New Patriotic Party and main opposition National Democratic Congress i.e., Charles Opoku and Gyakye Quayson respectively.
