A Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, has observed that the decision to unveil Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh in the Ashanti region, is a wise and smart one compared to the unveiling of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang which was done in Accra.
Dr. Joshua Jebuntie Zaato, in an interview with Oheneba Nana Asiedu on the Wontumi Morning Show, stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) should have unveiled their running mate in her home region which is the Central region.
“They unveiled her in Accra at UPSA…not in her home region. When they are coming to unveil Napo, they are going to unveil him in Kumasi. It is probably going to be an outdoor park and Napo is going to come out to see thousands or almost a million people screaming his name to welcome him”, he said.
He continued “That is what we call show of force. The NPP is bringing this amount of power to tell Ghanaians that we have got this and that is the stark difference between the star power of Napo and Bawumia and the star power that Prof Opoku Agyemang has and that is what will be on display”.
In his view, when you should match the achievements of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh aka Napo to that of Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, the former is superior.
“If you match them policy-wise, political-wise, managerial-wise wise, he is far superior to her”, Dr. Joshua Jebuntie Zaato explained.
