Unity, Not Insults Will Win Us 2024 Elections- Chairman Wontumi Tells Ashanti Region

The Ashanti regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has advised delegates in the Ashanti region to be united as they make preparation for the 2024 elections.  

Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi advised against politics of insults noting that they need unity to maintain power.  

“When the time comes to campaign, no one should insult, we have to exchange ideas…No insults, my supporters shouldn’t insult my opponent. We all have to be one”, Chairman Wontumi said to the gathering during the 2021 Ashanti region annual delegates conference held at Ejusi.

In an address, Chairman Wontumi stated that together with his regional executives, they will ensure suggestions they have received from coordinators, polling station executives, constituency executives, regional executives and former MPs etc., are tabled before national executives to help the party win the 2024 elections.  

He also reminded the delegates that books have been given to each constituency within the region for members to write their names and added that within a short time, party cards would be issued to all members.   

On Wednesday, 27th October, 2021, the Ashanti Regional chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) held its annual delegates conference.  

The event is under the theme: Joining Forces to Maintain Power and would take place at the Forestry Commission Training School Park at Achiaakrom within Ejisu.
