Two Ghanaians Arrested In US

Two Ghanaians have been apprehended in the United States by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.

In a series of reports sighted by GhanaWeb on May 4, 2026, the suspects, identified as Jamal Abubakari and Kamal Abubakari, popularly known as “Arrangement” and “Lancaster,” were arrested shortly after arriving in the United States.

According to the reports, the two, who have in recent years been seen on social media flaunting luxury vehicles and large sums of cash, travelled to the US over the weekend to conduct business but were apprehended upon arrival.

Further checks by GhanaWeb on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia schedule indicate that Jamal Abubakari, who is currently in detention, is expected to appear before the court on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary and detention hearing at about 2:00 PM at Courtroom 301 in Alexandria.

Meanwhile, the arrest has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some users suggesting that the suspects made a risky move by travelling to the United States amid ongoing FBI-related arrests involving Ghanaians.
