There is something unique about Chairman Wontumi and it is a gift from God, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie has observed.
The Member of Parliament for the Effiduase-Asokore Constitutency made the observation following the successful organization of events that came with the three days visit of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to Ashanti region.
Flagbearer of the NPP was recently on a 3-day campaign tour to the Ashanti region. He embarked on door to door campaign and held meetings with organized groups and religious bodies.
Dr. Bawumia also paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.
Speaking on the Wontumi Morning Show, Dr. Ayew Afriyie stated that the Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has remained successful as a leader because “he speaks the truth and respects a lot”.
He continued that aside being gifted by God, “he is liked a lot by the people”.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie credited his regional chairman for knowing how to win an election and explained that it was his unique trait.
“He is connected to the base of the party. He listens to what everyone says, he is an open leader”, he said.
