In a recent interview, The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, shared his thoughts on the differences between former President John Mahama and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“The difference between Mahama and Bawumia is mind, wisdom, and knowledge,” Chairman Wontumi stated unequivocally. “Dr. Bawumia is a man of vision, with a deep understanding of economics and governance. He has the wisdom to make informed decisions, and the knowledge to drive Ghana forward.”
Chairman Wontumi went on to praise Dr. Bawumia’s contributions to the current government, citing his expertise in economic management and his role in implementing policies that have benefited the country.
On the other hand, Chairman Wontumi was critical of former President Mahama’s leadership style, suggesting that he lacked the foresight and wisdom to make effective decisions.
“Mahama’s approach to governance was more focused on politics than policy,” Chairman Wontumi said. “He didn’t have the same level of knowledge and understanding as Dr. Bawumia, and it showed in his decisions.”
Regardless, Chairman Wontumi’s statement highlights the perceived differences between two of Ghana’s most prominent political figures, and sets the stage for further discussion and analysis.
