Test Mahama With Bribe And He Will Withdraw His Supreme Court Case – Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has predicted that former President Mahama would be willing to withdraw his case from court should anybody attempt to bribe him with cash.

His comments were linked to a narrative by the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, Kwame Baffoe, in relation to how the erstwhile government of Mr. John Mahama organized the funeral of late former President John Evans Atta-Mills.

According to Mr. Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye, the committee set up by former President Mahama to oversee the funeral arrangement of his predecessor, shortchanged the nation with the hefty donations they received from governments and cooperate institutions.

Abronye revealed that former President Mahama, “setup a funeral committee and deliberately put Totobi Kwakye in charge. Aside that he gave his young cronies a role to play as committee members. They received huge sums of monies as donation…the smaller amount that came for the funeral of Prof. J.E. Mills was GHC50,000.”

He continued that after receiving the donations, Mr. Mahama shamefully gave the family of his predecessor a paltry GHC5,000 which was eventually rejected by the family.

It was on the back of this that the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP popularly known as Chairman Wontumi stated that “with Mahama, what I know is that if he has an issue with you at the Supreme Court and you find some money for him, he will take the money and settle the case out of court”.

According to Chairman Wontumi, former President Mahama currently has financial issues. He cited the issue of Djibril Kanazoe, the contractor who is famed for gifting former President Mahama a Ford Expedition bribe to be awarded a contract.
