Terrorists are not only recruiting in Ghana but have targeted the country as well, Irbard Ibrahim has revealed shortly after President Akufo-Addo named George Akuffo-Dampare as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Irbard in an interview on Wontumi TV stated that terrorists are planning an attack on Ghana bearing in mind their attacks have been incessant in Burkina Faso- a border town to Ghana.
“It is happening in Burkina Faso and their activities are near us”, he said.
If United States of America (USA) with their sophisticated strategies have been hit and targeted by terrorists, then Ghana, according to Irbard Ibrahim is not immune to such planned attacks.
Just recently, the Minister of Information, Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah assured the general public that the government is committed to doing everything in its power to safeguard the safety of citizens from activities of terrorists and piracy.
He stressed on the growing activities of terrorists and pirates in neighbouring Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and Mali.
Irbard commended the government of President Akufo-Addo noting that it is right for government to “prepare our minds over a possible attack.”
He however added that in the event of an attack, our response to it would show how prepared we are.
