Talk About Legalizing The Use Of Donkeys Rather Than Okada- PPP Executive Mocks NDC (VIDEO)

The promise by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to legalize the use of okada, has been sharply disproved by an executive member of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), who has stated that such move, would put the lives of many Ghanaians at risk.

Mr. Richard Boadu, in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show, noted that the okada promise by the flagbearer of the NDC, was not well thought through and should never be given any attention.

He indicated that rather than talk about legalizing okada for commercial purpose, it would have been prudent for the NDC to talk about “legalizing the use of donkeys”.

“…Legalization of okada, there is a community in North that uses only donkeys for commercial purpose. So they (NDC) should talk about legalizing donkeys as well”, he said in the interview monitored by Wontumionline.com.

In his view, legalizing okada “will increase crime in our communities” and added that “it will bring a lot of problems.”

He wondered if the flagbearer of the NDC gave the campaign promise a serious thought noting that “did Mahama really think about it? We need to think about this issue properly. We need proper jobs and have to protect our lives.”
