As part of Zoomlion Foundation's initiatives to equip schoolchildren, teachers and parents with skills on emergency response preparedness and road safety, the Foundation is collaborating with Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Emergency Unit, National Ambulance Service and Road Safety Management Services Limited (RSML) with support from Ghana Police Service MMTD and Ghana Education Service to organize series of trainings and sensitization targeting some 10000 beneficiaries in the Adentan Municipality of Accra. Zoomlion Foundation and Ghana Education have launched an ambitious Zero Waste Project in schools, aimed at promoting sustainable practices through education. The launch event was held on Friday 31st May 2024 with the Shai Osudoku District Education Directorate to mark the beginning of a broader initiative set to extend to all districts in Greater Accra Region. Zoomlion Foundation has observed this year's Global Hand Washing Day with 3000 Zoomkids Club members at Nii Sowah Din Cluster of Schools in Adentan Municipality of Accra. As part of the activities to mark the day, GIZ, Appointed Times Screen Printing Limited and other partners provided free health screening for the 3000 Zoomkids and free NHIS enrolment for additional 2000 Zoomkids and teaching staff. The children were screened for malaria, eye, nose, blood sugar, eye, while the adults were also screened for breast cancer.
