A plea by founder of defunct Capital Bank, William Ato Essien for a chance to re-negotiate with the Attorney General Accra High Court has been thrown out by an Accra High Court. This comes after Ato Essien breached the terms of an agreement that saw him escape jail term with commitment to refunding GH¢90 million to the state, Myjoyonline.com reports. Ato Essien failed to meet the payment deadline for paying GH¢20 million by April 28, 2023, after an initial payment of GH¢34 million.
