Refund Monies Paid Above The Approved 15% Increment In Fees – Education Ministry Orders UG, Other Public Universities

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has ordered public universities to refund monies paid above the 15% increment in fees. The Ministry says those receipts were “illegal” and immediate measures must be taken to refund same. According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry, Kwasi Kwarteng, the Ministry expects the refunds to be made without delay to the students. Some students of the University of Ghana (UG) have described as "heartless" the decision by management to revoke the residential status of continuing students of Mensah Sarbah (Vikings) and Commonwealth (Vandals) halls.
