Traders at the Korle Gonno market in Accra, are pleading with the government to help fix and maintain the dilapidated Korle Gonno Tuesday market. The market, which has been operating for more than 20 years, has been left in a bad condition, with no proper roads or cement floors, causing significant loss of business for traders especially when it rains. The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) has directed its members to reduce prices of goods and services. According to the President of the Union, Joseph Obeng, they want to encourage the government to work hard to stabilise the cedi against the dollar hence the directive.
