Transformer Thieves In Volta Region Jailed 5 Years

The Ho Circuit Court has sentenced two of the three suspects who were arrested by the Volta Regional Police Command for attempting to steal a transformer at Adaklu Tsrefe on October 5. The two Suspects, Sitsofe Agbodza 26 years and Deladem Kodzo Tsrakasu 29 years were sentenced to five years imprisonment each by the Circuit Court presided over by Joseph Nadaado Mac-Ali Junior on November 1, after both pleaded guilty to stealing and an attempt to destroy public property. 7 Years Each for Thieves Of Vodafone Ghana Cable

Mathias Duayin and Albert Edor, two individuals arrested on charges of cable theft in Akosombo, have been found guilty and each sentenced to a prison term of seven years by the Odumase Krobo Circuit Court. The theft involved cables with a combined length of 2,600 metres. The estimated damage caused by the theft is valued at a staggering GHs 798,000.00, affecting thousands of customers in the region. Court Grants Two GH₵80k Bail Over Theft

An Accra Circuit Court has granted GH₵80,000.00 bail with three sureties each to two persons, who allegedly stole 54 electrical cables worth GH₵43,340.00. The accused persons; Christian Kofi Addai, 37, was charged for allegedly stealing and Oboh Rockson, 34, for dishonestly receiving the stolen items allegedly. The court presided over by Mrs Evelyn Asamoah directed that one of the three sureties be a public servant. The case has been adjourned to March 14, 2023.
