Fire has swept through over 70 shops at Race­course Market in the Ku­masi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region. The deadly fire according to traders, destroyed goods worth millions of cedis. Barely a year ago, traders at the Kumasi Central Market were relocated to the Racecourse Market to pave way for the construction of phase two of the Kejetia redevelopment project.
