Fraud: Ex Black Stars Player Prince Tagoe Ordered To Pay $40K

An Accra Circuit Court has ordered Prince Tagoe, a former Black Stars player, to pay GH₵10 per dollar in the auto fraud case. Tagoe has so far refunded $21,000 (GH₵210,0000) cedi equivalent, leaving a balance of $19,000. However, when the matter was called, Tagoe contended that he was going to refund the money based on the year 2021 dollar rate. Court Revokes Prince Tagoe’s Bench Warrant As He Pays GH¢71,000 To Complainant

An Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday revoked a bench warrant it issued for the arrest of Prince Tagoe, Ghana’s former Black Star player. Prince Tagoe is before the court for an alleged auto fraud case. The former black star player on August 30, 2023, failed to appear before the court and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. On Wednesday, September 6, Prince Tagoe appeared before the court with his counsel, Kwesi Kwakye and made payment of GH¢71,000 to the court in respect of the case.
