The Police, as part of the Police Action Against Rider Indiscipline (PAARI) programme, has arrested over 250 motorbike riders for jumping the red light in Accra. The service, in April 2022, introduced ‘Operation PAARI’, a road safety intervention to check indiscipline among motorcycle users on our roads which was becoming a major cause of road traffic accidents in the country. Police have arrested 12 suspects and are pursuing over 25 others for their involvement in cyber-related crimes following a sustained cyber-intelligence operation. The Police Administration has interdicted Inspector Kennedy Martey Ampofo, stationed at the Sampa District Command in the Bono Region, for professional misconduct.
