The two players starred for their respective teams on the opening day of the league, continuing from where they left off in the 2022/23 season. English Premier League side, Leicester City, has officially confirmed the signing of Ghanaian youngster, Nathan Opoku. The 21-year-old joins the Foxes from Syracuse University in the United States and pens a three-year deal with the club. Opoku after signing for Leicester will be loaned immediately to Belgian-based Oud-Heverlee Leuven to continue his development. The US-based player was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the National Collegiate Athletic Association last year after scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists for Syracuse. Emmanuel Toku Signs For Belgian Outfit Oud-Heverlee Leuven

Former Ghana U-17 forward, Emmanuel Toku, has signed for Belgian top flight side, Oud-Heverlee Leuven on a permanent deal. The 22-year-old moves to Belgium from Bulgaria where he played for Botev Plovdiv. Toku joined the Bulgarian side permanently in September 2021 ahead of the 2021/22 season following his spell with Fremad Amager in Denmark. He signs a three-year deal which will see him stay at the club until 2026. Toku has made 21 appearances for Botev in the 2022/23 season scoring once and providing two assists during that time.
