"One Ghana, one Dollar initiative was from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia" The Ashanti regional chairman for the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako has stated. Speaking on Movement TV on 7th February, 2024, he disclosed that the one dollar to a Ghana cedi was an ideology from Dr. Bawumia under the former president, John Agyekum Kufuor's regime.
