BREAKING: Ken Ofori-Atta Sues National Security For Trespassing On His Property

The former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has taken legal action against operatives from the National Security for trespassing on his property. Ofori-Atta filed the suit against two senior police operatives from the agency, DSP Bismark Boakye Ansah and Chief Inspector Mensah, for allegedly trespassing on private property and violating the right to privacy. The writ, filed and issued at the High Court, argued that the raid violated the privacy of the occupants of the residence, noting that the operatives who stormed the house presented no warrant authorising them to conduct the search. The Accra High Court has ordered three State institutions to apologise to Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, editor of ModernGhana.com news portal, for human rights violations. The parties in the case filed terms which were adopted by the Human Rights Division Court 2. In a judgment obtained by myjoyonline.com, the presiding Judge, Justice Nicholas Abodakpi held by the terms of settlement had been adopted by the court.
