NHIS To Receive $27.7 Million From The World Bank Group

The World Bank Group is offering $27.7 million to the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), to increase the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) annual active membership. The support is to facilitate claims processing and payments for primary healthcare providers comprising CHPS, Health Centers and Maternity Homes under the Primary Health Care Improvement Program for Results (PforR). NHIS Medicines And Service Tariffs Upwardly Adjusted

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has upwardly adjusted tariffs for medicines and services covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in the last seven months. The latest increment effective, February 1, 2023, was agreed in consultation with the Ministry of Health,  the NHIA Governing Board, Executive Management, and other critical stakeholders in the health sector.
