The Deputy National Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Seji Saji has called for urgent national action to address the severe coastal erosion affecting the Keta coastline in the Volta Region. Volta Lake Breaks Banks; 2,500 Residents Displaced

The Volta Lake has broken its banks leading to the displacement of 2,500 residents from nine communities within the Pru East District. The victims comprise 1,302 males and females 1,252, according to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO). Communities affected are Kobre Nsuano, Pentecost Nsuano, Adiembra, Fanteakura, Tokobikope, Tonka, Agokope, Logakope and others. More than five big logs have been found placed in drains constructed around the Kejetia market. A/R: NADMO Supports Kwabere Fire Victims The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has presented relief items to fire victims in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region. The disaster management body also presented some items to residents whose buildings have been ripped off as a result of the recent rainstorms in the district.
