MTN Records 53.7% Growth In Profit To ¢707.4m In Quarter 1, 2022 MTN Ghana recorded a year-on-year growth in profit of 53.7% to ¢707.4 million in the first quarter of this year. Mobile money contributed ¢515 million to the bottom-line. According to its audited first quarter 2022 Financial Report, it also paid ¢685 million in direct and indirect taxes to government during the period, representing 29.1% of total revenue. Mobile subscribers increased by 8.4% to ¢27.1 million, whilst active data subscribers went up by 14.4% to ¢12.8 million and active Mobile Money (MoMo) users grew by 7.7% to ¢11.7 million.…
