The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned against stigma and discrimination against Monkeypox patients saying it is dangerous as it declares the disease a public health emergency of international concern. While making the announcement at a virtual media briefing after the emergency committee meeting, the WHO Director General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, disclosed that the declaration was necessitated by the rising cases of the disease reported by 75 countries across the world.
