Between September and October 2024, the total number of mobile money transactions surged from 705 million to 728 million. MoMo Transactions Drop In June Despite Increase In Account Registrations

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has reported a notable decline in mobile money (MoMo) indicators for June 2024. According to data from the central bank, the total number of MoMo transactions decreased to 644 million, down from 668 million in May 2024. This drop resulted in a reduction in the total value of MoMo transactions, which fell from GH¢234.3 billion to GH¢224 billion.
