Atalanta is unwilling to sell their talismanic star, Ademola Lookman in the January transfer window. Lookman is reportedly wanted by Premier League giants, Liverpool. Tuttosport newspaper claims that Atalanta has already turned down the Red’s request for the Nigerian. The 27-year-old has developed into one of the best forwards in the world since arriving at the Gewiss Stadium. Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman has been crowned the 2024 African Footballer of the Year at the Confederation of African Football (Caf) Awards in Marrakesh. The Atalanta forward saw off competition from Ivory Coast’s Simon Adingra, Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi of Morocco and South Africa’s Ronwen Williams. Lookman is the second consecutive Nigerian to claim the award after Victor Osimhen in 2023. Ademola Lookman was full of excitement after claiming the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year gong, DAILY POST reports. The Atalanta winger capped a remarkable year by becoming the sixth Nigerian to win the prestigious award.
