The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has refuted allegations that its staff caused a fire at a residential property in Two-Streams, a suburb of Koforidua, following a disconnection exercise. In a statement signed by the General Manager of External Communications, Charles Nii Ayiku, ECG described the claims as baseless and urged the public to disregard them. The company clarified that the incident involved a customer who owed GH¢6,519.38 since September 2024.
