Former MP for Bantama, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has praised the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his support in providing accommodation and skills training for women from rural communities who travel to Accra in search of better opportunities. Specifically, he highlighted the Kayayei Empowerment Programme and the newly training Centres, which aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for these women, known as "kayayei", to learn new skills and improve their socio-economic lives.
