Nigerian singer, Iyanya, has narrated how he lost millions of nairas while trying to get American rapper, Nicki Minaj, to collaborate with him. After the success of the 'Kukere' song that increased his popularity, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuka, and his team wanted to achieve more. According to him, music executive, Ubi Franklin suggested that they make an international move by featuring Nicki Minaj on his hit song. Iyanya Recalls Begging Last Year To Perform At Shows Just To Be Seen

Iyanya has gone on Twitter to reveal how his fortune changed for the better in one year. He explained that in Dec 2021, he performed at only 3 shows and only one was a paid gig. The other 2, he said he begged to perform just to be out there. However, that changed this year. "2022 December, I wake up everyday to alerts for shows," he disclosed.
