ECG Unveils Aggressive Campaign Against Illegal Connections

The Director of Communication for the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), William Boateng, has announced a tough initiative to combat illegal connections. Mr. Boateng revealed that, tackling illegal connections poses a significant challenge for the ECG. “The pressure is too much, and we are working tirelessly. We have access to any court of jurisdiction and will send those people who are caught in that act to court. Water Supply: Police To Arrest And Prosecute Persons Engaged In Illegal Connection

The Management of Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has said that it will start going round to check out for illegal connections as the the company embarks on a nationwide revenue mobilization exercise to retrieve all arrears owed by customers from Monday, November 20, 2023. As part of the exercise, Disconnection teams and Task Forces in the various regions and districts offices will disconnect all categories of customers whose bills are in arrears.
