An Accra Hearts of Oak fan, identified as William Nii Laryea, tragically lost his life during the Homowo Peace Cup match played on Sunday, August 12, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium. Hearts of Oak took on Ghana Premier League side Kpando Heart of Lions in the match, which was aimed at celebrating the Homowo festival. Shops Within Ga Traditional Area To Close Down On July 2 For Homowo Clean-Up Exercise

The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has launched the Homowo Clean-up exercise and says all shops must remain closed on the day of the exercise. “We expect all shops and businesses in the designated area to close on the day of the exercise.
