Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has expressed worry over the challenges plaquing the Ghanaian music industry. On his Facebook page, he writes that lack of appropriate policies among other things, has contributed to the current state of the Ghanaian music industry. "It is clear that the lack of conducive policies, infrastructure, and resources have hindered our growth and potential on the international stage. We must urgently address this by improving regulatory frameworks, investing in modern infrastructure, and strengthening intellectual property rights and licensing.
