A justice at the Court of Appeal, Justice Samuel Obeng Diawuo is imploring lawyers not to get caught up in the craze of social and traditional media advertising. Rules governing the professional conduct and etiquette of lawyers in Ghana forbid the direct and indirect advertising of services. Students of the Ghana School of Law have been directed to submit their various social media handles to the authorities for monitoring to ensure they don’t conduct themselves in ways that breach the legal profession’s code of conduct. Some 850 candidates of the Ghana School of Law are fit to be considered for the Ghana Bar on November 11, 2022, provided they meet other requirements, such as “Good character”.
