Over 600,000 Ghana Cards Remain Unclaimed – National Identification Authority

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the receipt of 700,000 blank Ghana Cards to address a backlog of unprinted cards dating back to 2023. However, the Authority is grappling with a more pressing issue: over 600,000 Ghana Cards, already printed and ready for collection, remain unclaimed at various regional and district offices across the country since 2018. NIA Withholds Over 110,000 Ghana Cards Over Double Registration

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has revealed that more than 110,000 Ghana Cards have been withheld due to double registration issues. While the authority has successfully issued over 18 million cards to Ghanaians, approximately 150,000 cards are still pending printing.
