Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona has replaced Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah as the new Chief of Army Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces. The Ghana Army Headquarters (AHQ), Burma Camp in Accra hosted a handing-over ceremony on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the forecourt of the Odartey-Wellington Block. Kofi Amankwa-Manu, a member of parliament for Atwima-Kwanwoma and deputy minister of defense, presided over it. Project To Improve Prostate Cancer Care Among GAF Men Launched

A Prostate Cancer Early Detection Project has been launched to improve prostate cancer diagnosis, care and management for men aged 40 years and above in the Ghana Armed Forces. The project, initiated by Janssen Pharmaceutical Company of Johnson and Johnson in partnership with the Ghana Armed Forces, aims at increasing awareness, screening, early detection and treatment of prostate cancer to ensure the survival of patients.
