The Ghana National Fire Service averted disaster on Monday, August 19, 2024, by salvaging and transferring spilt fuel into another tank after a fuel truck overturned at Odorkor Tarrazo in the Greater Accra Region. The driver of the fuel tanker, in an attempt to climb a steep hill, lost control of the brakes, causing the truck to reverse into a gutter. The truck then overturned, spilling fuel onto the road.
