The Ministry of Interior has reviewed the curfew hours in the Bawku municipality to between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am. The revision takes effect from Thursday, January 25, 2024. The Interior Ministry has imposed a curfew on the Nkwanta township in the Oti Region. The curfew, as announced in a release took effect on Tuesday, November 21 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 am. This follows the death of six persons in a fresh shooting incident at the Nkwanta South Municipality. A ban has also been placed on the carrying of arms and ammunition or any offensive weapons. According to eyewitnesses, armed assailants opened fire on residents at the Nkwanta Central Market early this morning.
