The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has debunked reports alleging that it is auctioning some agrochemicals, fertilizers, and other inputs due to COCOBOD’s inability to pay duties on the items. GRA described such reports as disingenuous and misleading. It urged Ghanaians to disregard the report. GRA in a statement explained that “some agrochemicals and other items were imported into the country by COCOBOD. Three Technicians Retrieved Dead From Fuel Reservoir At COCOBOD Office

Three fuel reservoir technicians have been retrieved dead in a reservoir belonging to Produce Buying Company (PBC) at Cocobod office in Koforidua, Eastern Region. The deceased persons were among five workers contracted to perform maintenance work inside the reservoir however allegedly failed to observe safety protocols hence suddenly got suffocated and eventually died in the tank. Government Declares War On Cocoa Smuggling Following Drop In Output

This follows a drop in the latest production output of about four hundred thousand metric tons which translates into almost 600 million dollars in loss to the state.
