The leadership of the Cocoa Carriers Association has instructed its members at the Tema, Takoradi, and Kumasi depots of the Cocoa Marketing Company Limited to commence an indefinite sit-down strike starting Monday, October 7, 2024, over issues related to their conditions of service. In 2022, members of the Association undertook a similar strike, demanding wage increases and improved working conditions.
