The Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has resigned. It emerged on Friday, July 21 that two house helps of the Minister were facing charges before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly stealing an amount of $1 million, €300,000, and millions of Ghanaian cedis at her residence in Abelenkpe, Accra, in October 2022. The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has accepted the resignation of the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resource, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, a source close to the office of the President has confirmed to Asaase News. Cecilia Abena Dapaah tendered in her resignation letter to President Akufo-Addo, today Saturday 22 July 2023, following a story of her involvement in a criminal case instituted at the Circuit Court against five accused persons who are charged with the offence of stealing various sums of money from her home at Abelemkpe, a suburb of Accra.
