Seven out of the ten passengers who drowned on the Oti River in the Krachi East District have been rescued alive. Three are currently missing but the search is ongoing. Those missing are a 4-year-old baby girl, a pregnant woman, and an elderly man. The Krachi East Municipal National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Director, Dasievor Jacob, told Onua News that the seven who were rescued were taken to hospital for treatment.
