Justice Eric Kyei Baffour, the judge who sentenced the founder of the defunct Capital Bank, William Ato Essien, has justified his ruling. He said the convict (Ato Essien) demonstrated sheer greed and needed to pay the price for his action. Capital Bank Case: Court Rejects Ato Essien’s Application Seeking To Re-Negotiate With A-G

A plea by founder of defunct Capital Bank, William Ato Essien for a chance to re-negotiate with the Attorney General Accra High Court has been thrown out by an Accra High Court. This comes after Ato Essien breached the terms of an agreement that saw him escape jail term with commitment to refunding GH¢90 million to the state, Myjoyonline.com reports.
