Ghana’s Bawa Fuseini has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Confederation of African Athletics Region II (CAA Region II). Mr Fuseini’s appointment was announced by newly elected president of the CAA Region II, Tonobok Okowa in Accra on Saturday. The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) CEO occupied the role between 2019 and 2023 under the leadership of former President, Ibrahim Gasau, who decided not to seek re-election at the CAA Region II General Assembly.
