The Ahafo Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has revised the terms of the curfew imposed on Bomaa in the Tano North Municipality. The curfew was imposed on the town on January 9 by the Regional Security Council in consultation with the Interior Minister and the National Security Minister after chieftaincy clashes in the area. It has been revised from the daily 5 pm to 7 am to 10 pm to 5 am. A statement released by the REGSEC after an emergency meeting held at Goaso says; 1. The Ahafo Regional Minister, George Boakye has imposed a curfew on Bomaa in the Tano North Municipal with immediate effect. This was done in collaboration with the members of the Regional Security Council and in consultation with the Interior Minister and the National Security Minister. One Person Reportedly Shot Dead At Bomaa Over Chieftaincy Dispute

One person has reportedly been shot dead at Bomaa in the Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region following a chieftaincy dispute in the community. The shooting occurred as a result of contention between two families in the town over who succeeds the late chief of the town. Several others also got injured in the incident and were sent to some nearby health facilities for treatment.
