Korle Bu Teaching Hospital To Hand Over Morgue To AMA

The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra is to hand over the hospital’s mortuary to the Accra Metropolitan Assembly to be used as a city morgue for the preservation of unidentified bodies. This is after the hospital has completed the construction of a new mortuary it is working on as part of activities to commemorate its centenary anniversary. ‘Address Challenges To Sustain Gains Of On-going Clean-up Operation’

An Environmental Health Analyst at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Mr. Joseph A. Asitanga, has hinted that until some challenges were addressed, the gains made from the ongoing clean-up exercise would not have the needed impact. The challenges, he enumerated, included the unwillingness of the squatters to assist in the clean-up; non availability of access routes and the claim that they (the squatters had not been informed).
