It's confirmed that intense tension is brewing in Nkwanta South of the Oti Region as Adele’s clashes with the Akyode’s in Nkwanta township on Saturday , October 28. The ethnic groups have clashed over the performance of ritual rites to herald the 2023 annual Yam Festival of the Akyodes. Many homes and shops were not spared in the clash with Nkwanta becoming a deserted town. The Akyode’s had served the Minister a copy of the letter asking for permission and support to celebrate this years festival.
