Morocco is set to be named host nation of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), according to Joy Sports sources. The North African country will replace Guinea who were stripped of the hosting rights over delay in making facilities ready for the competition. The Confederation of African Football is to re-open bidding for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after stripping Guinea of the right to host the competition, with Morocco among the nations set to apply.
