Five individuals have tragically drowned in the Afram River while on a boat crossing to farmlands at Azietsikorpe in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District. Efforts to rescue a sixth person are still ongoing. Johnson Anglesinya, the Assemblyman for the Gyata Electoral Area, confirmed the incident to 3news.com, adding that six other individuals were successfully rescued.
