The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Kofi Owusu Omar has slammed Kwabena Mintah Akandoh for not being a matured politician. Mintah Akandoh, who is the Member of Parliament for the Juaboso Constituency has been a member of the 6th and 7th Parliament, but Mr. Omar feels he has not matured with time. As Chairperson for the Health Committee in Parliament, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, has warned Mintah Akandoh that he will ‘mafia’ him. His warning stems from the needless public stunt pulled by the ranking member of the Health Committee when he attempted to visit the Afari Military Hospital in Ashanti region without using the right channel. A fallout ensued between the Minority members of the Health Committee and soldiers on guard duties at the 500-bed Afari Military Hospital last Monday during their unofficial visit to the project site.
