A communication team member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Kwesi Acquah has questioned the existence of the factories the NDC promised to build in its 2012 manifesto. Government Supports 600 Farmers To Establish Maize Factory Under 1D1F

The government through the Ministry of Trade and Industry has facilitated the construction of a Common User Facility factory for the processing of maize in the Ashanti Region. With support from the African Development Bank, the factory is expected to add value to common farm produce for the farmers and later sold to the market or for export.
